We are closed for the 2008 strawberry season. Please click on the produce page for updates on produce availability.
We are a "Pick Your Own" so please come out and join us for a day in the field. Bring your children, if they get tired of picking we have a number of activities for them. We can also give an overview of the farm, how it's used today and little history.
We grow chandler strawberries, the plants are planted in early fall when the soil is still warm. This allows the plants enough time to establish a good root system, then after the first hard frost they go dormant. We cover the plants for protection against deer and other critters. In early spring we uncover the plants and watch them blossom into a beautiful flower that eventually produces the strawberry.
